Isaiah 59-61

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion–to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor...

I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.

As I was praying this morning, God asked me how much do I love the people he has put in my life?

I noticed in the last few weeks that my struggle in seeking God totally had an effect in your walk with God. If I really love you and care for you as my sister in Christ, the best way for me to show my love is to seek the Lord with all my heart and to pray for you. I realized that when I choose to do my own thing instead following the Lord, I am not the only one effected.

The above scripture talks about our calling as the children of God to have love and compassion to the people in our lives by sharing God's love. But the ability to love is not in us. I've experienced over and over again how selfish I am and many times I seem to live just to meet my own needs. The great thing is that God is very aware of that. That's why he "has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness" so God can work through me.

It's so great that God can use even someone like me to "make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations." Praise God:)
